Frame 12
Welcome to Frame 12, my photography blog! Here, I will be sharing snapshots of my photography journey — it's all about finding beauty in the little (and the not so little) things and telling stories through the lens. Frame 12 is a nod to the world of photography, film and digital. In 6x6 medium format, a standard roll of 120 film produces 12 square frames — each hopefully composed with purpose (although reality is seldom different). The final frame, Frame 12, often carries a sense of culmination, reflection, or even a last-chance shot that holds unexpected tension and magic.
It's also a subtle reference to 35 mm film rolls, where the 12th frame marks the halfway point — a moment to pause, assess and recalibrate. In this way, Frame 12 speaks to the thoughtful rhythm of photography: the balance between planning and spontaneity, between patience and instinct. Frame 12 is an invitation slow down, appreciate each frame and find meaning in the moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
